What is the staff to resident ratio?

At Reflections Senior Living Corpus Christi, we staff our community based on the individual needs of the residents living with us, not by a one-size-fits-all formula. Our goal is to ensure every resident receives the attention, assistance, and personalized support they deserve. As care needs change, we adjust staffing accordingly to maintain a high level of care, safety, and engagement throughout our community. We believe quality care starts with having the right team in place to truly support our residents each and every day.

How can I determine if my loved one is the right fit for Reflection?

To help determine if Reflections Senior Living Corpus Christi is the right fit, our trained designated staff conducts a comprehensive pre-admission assessment with each potential resident and their family. This evaluation allows us to better understand your loved one’s individual needs, preferences, medical requirements, and level of support needed to thrive in an assisted living setting.

We also believe this process is an opportunity for families to assess us as well. Choosing an assisted living community is a significant decision, and we want families to feel confident that Reflections can provide not only the appropriate level of care, but also the environment, support, and quality of life their loved one deserves. Our goal is to ensure residents receive the right care, personalized to their needs, while families have peace of mind knowing their loved one is truly at home.

What are your levels of care?

Our care levels range from level 1 through 4 and are based on how much assistance a resident needs with Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s). Examples of ADL’s are walking, bathing, dressing, eating, etc.

  • Level 1 –Resident needs assistance with one or two Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s).
  • Level 2 –Resident needs assistance with some, but not all ADL’s including physical assistance, especially with incontinence.
  • Level 3 –Resident needs assistance with most ADL’s including physical assistance and not just setup.
  • Level 4 –Resident needs full care and feeding. All care is dependent on the staff.
Can my loved one continue to use their own doctor?

Absolutely! Residents at Reflections Senior Living Corpus Christi are welcome to continue using their current physicians and healthcare providers. We understand the importance of maintaining trusted medical relationships and continuity of care.

We also offer the convenience of multiple primary care providers who regularly visit our community, helping residents receive quality medical care without the stress and inconvenience of transportation to outside appointments. In addition, we partner with a variety of onsite specialty providers — including dental, podiatry, ophthalmology, therapy services, and other healthcare professionals — to help ensure our residents have access to the care they need in the comfort of our community.

Our goal is to make healthcare as seamless, accessible, and supportive as possible for both residents and their families.

What Security measures are in place?

At Reflections Senior Living Corpus Christi, the safety and security of our residents and staff are a top priority. Our community is secured with controlled access entrances to help provide a safe and protected environment where residents can feel comfortable and families can have peace of mind. Visitors may ring the doorbell or contact the front desk for assistance with entry at any time.

In addition, we have overnight security personnel who routinely patrol both the interior and exterior of the community to further support the safety and well-being of our residents and staff throughout the day and night.

Can I take my loved one off the premises ?

A: Absolutely! We encourage family members and loved ones to continue spending meaningful time together outside of the community. Whether it’s a family dinner, holiday gathering, shopping trip, medical appointment, or simply enjoying time out together, residents are welcome to leave the community with approved family members or responsible parties.

We simply ask that families notify our staff before leaving so we can ensure any necessary medications, care instructions, or special accommodations are prepared for the duration of the outing. For the safety and well-being of all residents, guests and residents are also asked to sign in and out when leaving and returning to the community.
